We’re now well into the swing of 2017 and it’s a time when most of us re-evaulate different aspects of our lifestyle and in particular, our physical health and wellbeing.
Most of us have, at some point, made the decision to get in better shape, whether through dieting or taking more exercise. Your physical wellbeing doesn’t just stop with what you eat and how often you work out. If you have any underlying physiological issues caused by posture or repetitive movements or actions, it’s quite likely that undertaking a new fitness regime could leave you feeling a little achey and at worst, you may even find yourself injured. A lot of people decide to kick-start their new year fitness regime by starting to run only to give up after a couple of runs because their knee, shin or foot starts to hurt – does that sound like a familiar story?
Whilst I can’t promise to make you an elite runner, a trip to see me and get a postural assessment may be just what you need. As part of your sports massage, I will conduct a detailed postural assessment and range of motion tests to see if there are any underlying postural issues you need to be aware of. Using sports massage and stretching, I can help you regain movement and improve your posture. Regular maintenance massages could certainly help you stay in shape and enable you to participate in your exercise and fitness programmes.
After an initial hour long consultation, you can book in for maintenance massages for 30 mins, 45 mins or 1 hour.
Make taking care of every aspect of your physical fitness your priority in 2017. Call me now on 07494 100165 to book in for your sports massage.
